Anonymous, hacker activists, successfully removed thousands of child pornography images from dark web.
Freedom Host II, the biggest host of that area of the internet, was breached by known hackers.
"Hello, Freedom Hosting II, you have been hacked," that is how many services under the said hosting shows after being shut down.
Apparently, more than 10,000 secret services were deleted, which constitutes a fifth of the dark web.
"We are disappointed...This is an excerpt from your front page 'We have a zero tolerance policy to child pornography - but what we found while searching through your server is more than 50% child porn," the note added.
Anonymous said that after discovering these scam sites, their files had been copied and their databases were dumped.
The dark web could only be accessed through an unknown network where users could not be traced.
"We are Anonymous. We do not forgive. We do not forget. You should have expected us," warns the hactivists.
