Imelda Won't Have Her Jewelries Back Anymore

Former first lady Imelda Marcos finally loses the legal fight to have her jewelries back after being confiscated by the government.

The Supreme Court ruling said that confiscated items were illegally obtained by the former first family since his husband's government salary is not enough to buy all those expensive items.

After her husband, former President Ferdinand Marcos was ousted, $150,000 worth of alleged ill-gotten precious accessories were acquired by the state.

Imelda could no longer reclaim her supposed property like her diamond-studded tiaras and an extremely rare 25-carat pink diamond for it will be part of an auction.

Imelda and his family allegedly brought the jewelries, together with gold bricks, when they fled to Hawaii after the 21-year-reign of  Marcos ended.

Imelda's jewelry collection is kept in Central Bank while her lavish shoe collection is displayed at MalacaƱang.
