March has been declared as Women's Month. In this month, there are some events and seminars that tackle about women's issues.
On March 18, Saturday, She Talks Asia & Mano Amiga Pilipinas presented a talk titled, "Every Girl Can Conference." Influential women who attended the event were Karen Davila, Ana P. Santos, Gang Badoy, Minette Navarrete, and Pia Cayetano, according to Adobo Magazine.
It's not surprising that Pia defended President Duterte regarding some issues and accusations related to women.
Below, are some of her unforgettable statements during the talk,
"It may come across like that sometimes, but that's not the intention."
"Do you have guy barkadas? That's how boys are and that's okay with me..."
"When I'm with those boys, I can't be so maarte naman... I'll sound like a manang."
"It's a case to case basis. In the case of our President, I love him to death."
During the panel, the topic became slightly heated when the topic about Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte's sexist remarks were brought up, according Inquirer. As you can see in the video posted by a netizen Hana R., Cayetano claimed that she's "one of the boys."
As the conversation started to heat up, Minette gave an advice.
