An unknown foreigner has been photographed buying a pair of shoes for a young boy selling sampaguita. A netizen named Mara Karmela shared photos of the generosity she witnessed.
Aside the photos, Karmela shared the heartwarming story behind it. She said she was in a shoe store when she saw a man along a young boy. She thought the man was a celebrity.
She confirmed that a man has bought a pair of shoes for the boy upon hearing a conversation. The man also asked where he could buy clothes. In exchange for items, the boy will give all the sampaguita that he's selling.
Other witnesses claimed that the man saw the boy selling sampaguita outside the store. He felt compassion after he met the boy. So he decided to go to the store to buy him shoes.
Karmela said she wanted to cry when she witnessed the compassion of a foreigner. She told When In Manila that it was a bad day for her during that time.
“It was really a good reminder to not give up,” she said.
