President Rodrigo Duterte expresses his support regarding the distribution of contraceptives in schools.
He said that these contraceptives are effective tools to avoid unwanted pregnancies and prevent abortion as well.
"I hate abortion. Hindi talaga pwede iyan. It becomes an incongruity na patayin mo ang bata sa loob. You have to prevent pregnancy so there is no life at all," he added.
He asserted that while he supports prevention of pregnancy by family planning, but killing for fetus inside a woman's womb is far worse.
"..mahirap iyan, walang laban iyong ano--kaya mabuti talaga na liberal nalang tayo pati mga estudyante. Bigyan mo na lang [contraceptives]."
He noted that we could not prevent the youth from engaging to sex for it was "instinctive."
The president also disbelieves that natural family planning method will not work the way it was intended to.
"Hindi iyan madala ng kalendaryo-kalendaryo. You cannot postpone your libido next week. Paano ba naman i-schedule ang libog mo? You must be stupid, really. Think about it... Ano ito klase, may bagyo, may postponement?" he asked.
