When news about the approval of P1000 proposed budget for the Commission on Human Rights (CHR), everyone had been blown away and immediately expressed their opinions. Some were disappointed while there were people who agreed.
One of those who had expressed his disappointment was Eat Bulaga host Vic Sotto’s son and Pasig City 1st District Councilor Vico Sotto. In his Twitter account, Vico said that he’s willing to give part of his salary to the CHR if the proposed budget would be approved by the Senate.
On the other hand, Vic’s brother, Sen. Tito Sotto said that he was in favor with the P1000 budget for the agency.
In an exclusive interview of PEP.ph to Vic, he was asked if what was his opinions regarding the different and opposite opinions of his son and his brother.
“That’s what democracy is all about. May kanya-kanya tayong pananaw sa mga isyu. So, respetuhan na lang. It doesn’t mean na magkaaway na tayo kasi kung ikaw naniniwala sa ‘yung hindi ko pinaniniwalaan, kanya-kanyang ano yun,” Vic explained.
He also clarified that they did not talk about it when they were together. The comedian also said that their family was solid despite having different political views.
“Wala sa pamilya ‘yun. It’s a very petty issue. Kanya-kanya ‘yun, e.”
