Duterte to Resign if Trillanes Proves P2B Bank Account Allegation

President Rodrigo Duterte affirms on Thursday that he is ready to resign as soon as Senator Antonio Trillanes IV can prove the existence of alleged P2 billion in his bank account.

Denying the allegation, he contested the senator to show evidences that the amount existed, even just a quarter of it.

“If Trillanes can prove his allegation that I have amassed P2 billion illegally or if that bank account under my name has a total deposit at one time of even just half a billion, I will resign as president immediately,” Duterte said.

The President added that Trillanes, a 'tulisan' as he tagged, was just rehashing an issue he has already addressed before gaining 16 million votes in his presidential bid.

Instead of opening his mouth every now and then, Duterte wants the senator to go to the court and file a case against him.
