Cayetano Calls Trillanes 'Kuryente King' for Tirades Against Duterte

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano on Thursday, Februar 16, called Senator Antonio Trillanes III as "Kuryente King" for claiming that President Rodrigo Duterte had undeclared funds amounting to P2 billion.

"We know from the start parating Kuryente King si Senator Trillanes pagdating niya kay President Duterte," said Cayetano, Duterte's running-mate and ally.

"Trillanes, just like what he did during the Arroyo administration, is destabilizing the government. The only difference is that there are true issues then, but now there are imagined issues," he added.

Trillanes earlier revived his allegations that Duterte had undeclared funds. MalacaƱang said it was not worth the president's time to respond to.

Cayetano revealed that the president already authorized the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) through chief legal counsel Sal Panelo to release his bank documents to disprove that the account holds some P2 billion.

"Kung kumpleto itong dokumentong ito, dapat nilabas na niya lahat before June 30 para wala pang presidential immunity ang pangulo," Cayetano said.

[If Trillanes had all the documents, he should have released these before June 30 when Duterte had no presidential immunity yet].

Cayetano also said that Trillanes may be bitter that Duterte did not pick him as his running-mate during the 2016 election.

"Nag apply siya ng VP nito. Nung siya ay nireject at hindi siya kinuha, sumama siya kay Grace Poe. Ginagawa niya ang lahat para siraan si President Duterte," Cayetano said.

[Trillanes applied as Duterte's VP. When he was rejected, he ran with Grace Poe and has been out to destroy Duterte since then.]

Cayetano also mentioned that Trillanes has yet to disclose where he sourced the P20 million funds used to purchase primetime airtime in major broadcasting stations in May 2016 for black propaganda ads against Duterte.
