Andanar: Senate Press Receive $1,000 Each to Cover Davao Cop's Revelation on DDS

Communications Secretary Martin Andanar accused media men covering the Senate for receiving $1,000 to cover the press conference on Monday where a Davao Cop testifies anew President Duterte's connection on Davao Death Squad (DDS).

“At meron din po tayong mga natanggap na reports na as much as 1,000 dollars ang ipinamigay sa presscon na ito," Andanar said.

The said press conference in the Senate where a certain SPO3 Arthur LascaƱas of Free Legal Assistance Group (FLAG), testified that they are personally commissioned by Duterte to kill criminals.

LascaƱas also confirmed the existence of DDS.
In an interview, Andanar apparently received report that they were offered that amount of money but they are uncertain if it was accepted by some.

“Pinagbibigyan daw ang mga reporter dun sa kung saan nangyari. May mga nag-offer daw, di ko lang alam kung tinanggap. Pero meron nagsumbong sa kin,” he added.

Senate press, in their defense, disproves the allegation of the former journalist, condemning him for spreading fake news.

They filed a petition challenging Andanar to prove his malicious accusation.

“Otherwise, we demand a public apology from Secretary Andanar for spreading fake news, truly unbecoming of someone, who, just a few months ago, came frome the media industry,” statement of the press added.
