Missing Pinay OFW in Malaysia Found, Claims Abusive Employers Hit Her, Scorched Her with Boiling Oil

A domestic helper in Malaysia, who had been missing for several months, has been found with lots of bruises and burns she acquired from her abusive employers.

Joramie Garcia Torres, a former teacher, claims that her employers hit her, scorched her with boiling oil and even knocked her with a hot pan.

A Filipino couple, who found her in an abandoned lot, contacted her family on September 1, Raccie Tores, the helper’s brother said.

The family said that the last time they had been in contact with Joramie was last February.

It was when she told her family to take care of themselves as they love them very much.

However, her employers was already free after paying their bail.

Joramie left the Philippines to work in Perak, Malaysia last December 2016.

Her first employer allegedly attempted to rape her before. She was then referred to an oil refinery finance manager as her new employer.

The couple who saved her claimed that the OFW, who they thought as undocumented, fled from her employers and with all the injuries she acquired, she collapsed upon reaching the said abandoned lot.
