There's no safe place anymore, especially within Metro Manila. It is better to be always ready and be more watchful.
Angelica Faigao shared a video on Facebook of an alleged snatcher. Faigao claimed that the man in the video stole her boyfriend's cellphone while they were walking at the footbridge heading going to Fairview Terraces.
According to Faigao, her boyfriend Seth started noticing that his bag seemed to have jerked a bit. When he turned back, he saw the man who immediately acted busy with his phone. Seth just assumed that the man may have accidentally bumped his bag.
A few more steps closer to the mall, Seth noticed again that his bag moved. When he looked, he saw the same man in a hurry to leave and hailed a UV. He then noticed that he didn't have his phone in his bag anymore.
So they went to the UV where the guy was already seated and asked them to give the phone back. The snatcher initially denied having the phone but got startled when he noticed that Faigao was video-recording him using her phone.
The guy then put out Seth's phone and lunged it at Faigao, saying "O ...o eto na o." Ironically, he was rather boastful and seemed upset about the whole incident. He then walked out of the scene away from the phone camera and quickly rode a jeepney.
Faigoa warned the public to be more careful.
