It's scary! A video of an escalator reversing direction shows people getting panicked.
According to The Straits Times, about 18 people were injured when the left elevator going upwards suddenly shifted directions to move downwards.
Many people were screaming. Many got shocked and started panicking. Especially since when the elevator shifted directions, it seemed to have moved rather faster causing a bottleneck effect at the exit, thus injuring people.
