A man who identifies himself as a photographer and manager of models was arrested in an entrapment operation for blackmailing and allegedly raping an aspiring teen model.
Aldwin Angelo Cruz, 34, asked a 16-year-old girl for nude photos through Facebook in exchange of P12,000.
The victim said that after sending Cruz 'daring' photos, the latter started to blackmail her that he will make her pictures viral if she would not meet him.
The young lad also claimed that she was raped by the suspect when they met in a hotel.
"Pinapasok niya po ako sa hotel. Sinampal po ako saka niya po ako pinagsamantalahan... Hindo po ako nakahingi ng tulong kasi natakot po ako," the young model said.
The pervert also tried to victimized her friend who is a minor too. They were threatened anew and was told to meet him at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
Victims immediately reported Cruz that leads to the formation of an entrapment operation for his arrest.
Cruz was successfully arrested on Sunday night, Senior Inspector Pidencio Saballo Jr., Manila Police District Station 4 investigations chief said.
"Nagpanggap kami na naka-Uber kami. Kasama na namin iyong dalawang bata sa sasakyan. Yung suspek ang magbabayad kaya lumapit siya sa 'min. Paglapit ng suspek, sabi ng victim positive daw," he added.
Cruz will face charges of rape and violation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, Saballo noted.
