A businesswoman dies during a cosmetic surgery in a clinic in Mandaluyong City.
Shiryl Saturnino, 29, was declared dead at around 3:21 am on Sunday.
The victim arrived at the clinic on Saturday afternoon to undergo breast augmentation, liposuction and butt surgery, Chief Superintendent Romulo Sapitula, Eastern Police District (EPD) director.
Sapitula narrated that Saturnino was admitted in the operating room at 2:40 am with Jose Jovito Mendiola and Samuel Eric Yapjuangco as attending surgeons.
Doctors then noticed when the patient's heart stop beating so they performed mouth to mouth resuscitation and sought help from Makati Medical Center. .
However, Dr. Kristel Marie del Rosario of the ambulance team declared her death at 3:21 a.m.
Saturnino's parents seek investigation regarding her death, Sapitula added.
While resulting for the result of her body's autopsy, the two doctors promises to cooperate fully as they wait for charges that may be filed against them.
