Relatives of a couple slain in a road accident on Saturday in Bacolod City wish to go on with the couple's plan to get married this year.
Roy Saballero and Jocell Demapula were planning to tie the knot this year before they met their demise in a road mishap when a car driven by Renz John Reyes hit the tricycle they were riding.
Before their burial on Sunday, the relatives of the lovers plan to hold a ceremony resembling a wedding.
Saballero's mother Alma said since the couple died almost at the same time, they decided to have the couple buried in the coffin.
Elmer Lumangyao, the tricycle driver also lost his life in the road accident, while the four other passengers were wounded: Andrian Mandawe, Stephen Basoy, Elmer dela Torre and James Siason.
The survivors of the crash were decided to file a case against Reyes, who refused to provide a statement.
Authorities are still investigating the case.
