300 Illegally Parked Vehicles Towed in Metro Manila

About 294 vehicles, which are illegally parked along different thoroughfares in Manila, was impounded by the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) last week.

Apparently, MMDA's anti-illegal parking operation had roamed popular places of  Scouts Borromeo, Bayoran, and Tobias; Panay Avenue, Sgt. Esguerra, Mother Ignacia Avenue and Eugenio Lopez Drive in Quezon City.

From March 6 to 10, the operation was also able to issue 240 tickets for illegal parking violation.

Aside from cars, the intensified efforts of the enforcement agency nabbed 21 tricycles for imposing illegal terminals.

Those were handed down to the Quezon City Tricycle Regulatory Unit.

Another major target of MMDA is to clear obstructions along Mabuhay Lane #1 which serves as an alternative route to EDSA.

MMDA General Manager Tim Orbos said that this will help many motorists to have convenience in travelling to Makati, Manila and Mandaluyong where Mabuhay Lane traverses.
