A video of an actual sinking of a boat was taken by one of its passengers on February 22, 2017.
The passenger boat, apparently transporting people from Malabon City to Navotas, sank and almost drowned its 30 passengers after leakage grew in its forepart.
A facebook user named Ryry Grande posted yesterday the video that shows how water from the river almost submerged the boat.
Passengers were screaming while impelling the boatman to row his boat faster.
Fortunately, they have reached the port area before it sank completely.
"..Nung lumubog yung bangka(ng) sinasakyan ko, nasa gitna p(a)lang k(a)mi ng tubig [ilog], umaagos na yung tubig sa loob ng bangka. Nung medyo malapit na kami sa babaan, doon na lumubog ng tuluyan ang bangka," the owner of the video told.
She added that the boat is overloaded and the boatman is drunk at that moment.
