Hotline For Reporting Bad Cops Activated

In line with the government's drive to cleanse the Philippine National Police from scalawags, a hotline for complaints against bad cops has been established.

The number 0998 970 2286 has been set up for public to report policemen involved in corruption and other unlawful acts.

"Today, we are officially launching the operations of the CITF (counter-intelligence task force) and we are announcing to you the official hotline of the CITF so that the public can send their complaints, information and everything relative to erring policemen,” Dela Rosa said in a press conference on Monday.

Members of the CITF will be receiving the reports from the hotline and will be led by Seniro Supt. Jose Chiquito Malayo.

Majority of the task force members are 72 combat-trained commandos from the Special Action Force of the PNP. The rest will come from the PNP's Crimindal Investigation and Detection Group and Intelligence.

The CITF has been established following the nationwide suspension of the administration's war on drugs, which got halted to focus on cleansing of the police force.
