“Not everyone is corrupt, but there is a group of these stupid scalawags there. As soon as they become a police [officer], they want a house and a car, then two wives,” Duterte said on Saturday.
Duterte added that corrupt members of PNP resort to illegal activities to support their other woman.
"These police who are morons, they add wives even if they don’t earn enough," he exclaimed.
He even compared that while army only settles in housing projects when they retire, police generals have great mansions to dwell in.
On January 30, he formerly claimed that 40% of the police force were corrupt and vowed that he will definitely get rid of these rogue cops.
In a report made by GMA News in 2014, 500 cops' wives complained having disloyal husbands.
