387 Cops Sent to "Disciplinary Training"

As part of the internal cleansing efforts of the  Philippine National Police (PNP) amid controversies, 387 members of the police force were sent to Camp Crame for a "disciplinary training."

Concerned cops, who were not confirmed if each faces criminal and administrative charges, includes 15 commissioned officers, 371 non-commissioned officers and a non-uniformed staff, NCRPO chief Director Oscar Albayalde said.

He added that cops subjected to disciplinary training  were selected after a  "thorough counter-intelligence and assessment work."

The internal cleansing efforts that have started way back July 1 last year has already dismissed 46, suspended 63, demoted 4 and 79 were displaced to Mindanao.

Apparently, there are 564 cases under investigation, 373 pending complaints, and 897 police with pending administrative cases, more than half of which faces grave offenses.

Cops under disciplinary training will not receive salaries and allowances.

PNP is apparently neglected by President Rodrigo Duterte from joining the government's war on drugs.
