A little girl, who is turning 4 years old today, is still struggling for her life inside an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital with the fear of losing her voice.
The girl is severely wounded while her mother, Janelle Mangulabnan, was killed after his father's friend, who was allegedly rejected for a kiss by her mother, attacked them in their house in Caloocan City, Thursday morning.
Jayson del Valle, his father's pal, was in a drinking session at their house when he tried to kiss her mother which the latter had resisted, PO3 Israel Albay of Caloocan police said.
The investigator added that this prompted the suspect to reach out for a knife and cut the throat of the child and her mother.
The child is apparently inside Tala Hospital's ICU because of difficulty in breathing. Doctors fear that she might lose her voice due to damage in her vocal chords.
It was around 6 am when her grandfather came and discovered the crime and immediately rushed the two at the hospital.
The suspect was nabbed around 3 pm still inside their house, hiding on their ceiling and will face charges of murder and and frustrated murder.
The family of the victim, clarifying that Janelle has no relationship with the suspect, were seeking help for the hospitalization of the child.
His father is apparently abroad and will be back home this Monday.
