Defeated vice presidential candidate Ferdinand Marcos Jr. camp presented evidences anew that massive election fraud actually occurred during the 2016 automated election.
The former senator testified that tampering was made in the election system as reflected on data discovered in SD cards from unused and undeployed vote-counting machines (VCMs).
It was remembered that Marcos lost to Vice President Leni Robredo with 263,473 votes, accusing Liberal Party for orchestrating an election fraud.
Claiming their strong stand on their protest against Robredo, the supposedly empty, clean and sealed storages were confirmed to be loaded with data in a decryption conducted by the Commission on Election (Comelec) on Monday, January 16.
Marcos' legal spokesperson Vic Rodriguez said that new evidences retrieved will strengthen their position that massive election fraud happened.
Out of 26 SD cards, thirteen were found to contain folders with data.
Rodriguez explained that those data were Smartmatic Automated Election System (SAES) files and only Smartmatic could show what those are. But no matter what files those sealed VCMs might contain, it must be empty in the first place.
Comelec said that the process of decryption must be completed first before speculate. As soon as the result will be out, it will be forwarded to the Supreme Court.
