After the agreement between the government and private partners was signed on January 18, 2017, the construction of a common station that will connect Metro Rail Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) will finally begin on December this year.
The 13,700-square-meter project that will be situated between the prominent landmarks, SM North EDSA and Trinoma in Quezon City will be completed by 2019.
The common station that will costs P2.8 billion will connect LRT1, MRT3 and MRT7, which will also be constructed simultaneously and will soon be finished by 2020.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) promises convenience for commuters to transfer from one line to another and accessibility to shopping malls located there.
