Iza Calzado is sad one of her starrers didn’t make to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) but at least her other movie, “Die Beautiful,” did.
Starring Paolo Ballesteros, the story is about a transgender man who wants to look beautiful even in death.
Iza shared gay people are close to her heart as she grew up surrounded by them. Apparently, her late father helped a number of them gain work in Japan back in the day.
As for her love life, the actress said as far as getting ready to face the altar with her boyfriend goes, she is “getting there.”
“Sinusulit ko lang din ang aking pagkadalaga. Alam ko naman darating ako dun, so ’di ko lang minamadali kasi I don’t like being rushed into doing things. Ayoko makiki-uso sa iba.”
