A whole family in Tubod, Lanao del Norte were killed in an operation of the police early Monday morning.
The police claimed that Bevino Laride Jr., father, fights back to police upon his arrest for charges of frustrated murder.
In the said operation, his pregnant live-in partner, Virginia Delibo, and their 5-month-old baby, Rexjun, were all killed.
Based on the family of the victims, the couple received several gunshots while the baby received one in his leg and one near his genital.
His father-in-law also detailed that the family is begging to stop firing them for it is impossible for them to fight back having no personal gun to use because of poverty.
However, acting Provincial Director Senior Superintendent Leopoldo Cabanag insisted that it was Laride who fired a gun first.
He added that guns used by the police force were in full automatic and they may have fired it as a self-defense against Laride.
Cabanag also noted that this may also be the reason why his wife and child were also fired.
Police involved in the said operation were put under restrictive custody while guns were confiscated.
As much as the family wants to file charges against the police, they have no money to pursue legal actions. They are seeking the assistance of President Rodrigo Duterte to help give justice on the death of their relatives.
