Suspect of Barrio Doctor's Murder Killed in Operation

A suspect on the killing of the barrio doctor Dreyfuss Perlas was killed in an arrest operation in Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte on Saturday afternoon. 

Agapito Tamparong, a known hired gun, was fired after attempting to escape by allegedly throwing a grenade to the arresting team. 

Tamparong faces charges of double murder and frustrated murder cases before the Kapatagan Regional Trial Court Branch 21. 

The arresting team composite of the military and the police was formed to serve the arrest warrant issued by Judge Alberto Quinto. 



The suspect, also known as Tamparong Manatad, Rico and Darwin, happened to appear in Barangay Tiacongan, Lt. Col. Audie Mongao, commander of the Army's 15th Infantry Battalion, said. 

The slay of the barrio doctor happened in the same town last Wednesday.
