A viral video showing Piolo Pascual and son Iñigo kissing on the lips made rounds on social media recently.
People have speculated that it was a mere marketing strategy to gain attention to help promote his upcoming movie, "Northern Lights: A Journey to Love."
The movie, a collaboration between Regal Entertainment, Star Cinema and Piolo Pascual's Spring Films Production, were shot in locations in New Zealand and Alaska, where scenes showing the picturesque aurora borealis were taken.
Piolo denies any allegations that the viral video went out in relation to his upcoming movie. He also denies that the movie was based on his life events, contrary to what his director Dondon Santos previously stated.
"I may have to correct my director ...It's not true because ...so sabi ko he put me on the spot. Siguro [may] similarities sa buhay namin ng anak ko ...but it's not the point of doing this film. I don't want to use my son to promote this film," the 40-year-old actor said.
"I feel bad for my kid. Nakakapagod na rin minsan yung ungkating nang ungkating yung buhay mo. I can use my personal buttons pero not to the extent of using that just because, you know, pwede ko sya ibenta," Piolo added.
Asked about the video with Iñigo, here's what Piolo has to say: "Gagawin ko rin sa nanay ko 'yon, gagawin ko rin sa tatay ko 'yon kasi ang sarap nung pasayahin yung pakiramdam ng magulang mo. It's a blessing na ginagawa sa akin ng anak ko 'yon. Kasi ganun ako pinalaki ng magulang ko."
This is the not first time Piolo got bashed with his relationship with his son. A viral photo with Iñigo in July 2016 also got the attention of netizens.

Piolo is looking forward to a possible movie with former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres.
