A female visitor was nabbed after trying to sneak in illegal drugs inside a jail of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Quezon province on Tuesday.
Elvira Lavilla, 35, allegedly keep methampetamine hydrochloride inside her private part to smuggle it behind the bars, said Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon police provincial director.
Apparently, Lavilla was about to visit her live-in partner, Leo Cariño, who was detained in Pagbilao District Jail, he added.
The suspect voluntarily surrendered 4 sachets of shabu packed in a paper and packaging tape after jail guards conducted a procedural search for every visitors.
Authorities seized from Lavilla P33,000 worth of illegal drugs.
Lavilla was kept under the custody of thr authority while preparing her charges.
