MUST WATCH: Pinay OFW Died After Beaten to Death by Employer in Kuwait

While the nation is in sorrow on the death of a Filipina OFW executed by hanging in Kuwait last week, another Pinay in the same country lose her life after alleged physical abuse on the hands of her employer.

Amy Capulong Santiago, 33, was declared "dead on arrival" with body full of bruises on January 25, 2017.

Her male employer since August 2015, who brought her in Farwaniyah hospital, was arrested right after with her wife.

It was on the same day when Jakatia Pawa, who was convicted for the alleged killing of her employer's daughter, was hanged to death.

Santiago and Pawa were just part of the alarming growth of cases on abused OFWs in Kuwait.

Many OFW groups are calling for the implementation of a Deployment Moratorium that will halt sending Filipino workers in Kuwait.

Ambassador to Kuwait Renato Pedro Villa said that while instructions to implement such a rule weren't available, the embassy promises that they will watch over cases of abuse like on what happened to Santiago and Pawa.
