MUST WATCH: Actual Footage of Unidentified Men Creating Fire to Burn 68 Capiz Farmers and Their Families

68 farmers and their families were attacked by a group of men on Saturday, February 11, 2017, few days after settling in a land granted to them by the government in Capiz City.

In a video posted by Mariane Chruise, a group of men were seen trying to set up a fire to burn families newly-residing in Hacienda Montecarba.

Earlier that evening, a farmer has died and four others were wounded after a group of men fired on them.

A survivor from the incident identified attackers as relatives of Ferdinand Bacanto, administrator of the property formerly owned by the deceased Nemesio Tan.

Farmers were land beneficiaries granted by the government with Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA)  in 1997.

It was just on Tuesday when they settled in the disputed land because of continous opposition from Bacanto.

The incident is still under the investigation of President Roxas town and Pilar Police.
