BREAKING NEWS: Warehouse of Smuggled iPhone 7, MacBook, Samsung Galaxy Raided in Manila by Customs


Several boxes of smuggled smartphones, laptops and other electronic gadgets were seized by Bureau of Customs (BOC) in a raid at a warehouse on Lakandula St. in Tondo, Manila, Wednesday, February 1.



The raid was conducted following an intelligence report of BOC showing an online store selling high-end communications and electronics gadgets with unusual importing methods.

Million-peso worth of iPhone 7, MacBook, Samsung Galaxy tablets, cameras, MP3 players and audio accessories were confiscated from the Kimstore online shop.

Kimstore is owned by a Filipino-Chinese resident of Binondo, who has been into online selling of apparently smuggled items.



The owner however was not found at the raid. The warehouse people nabbed during the raid were not able to provide any import documents of the electronic gadgets.

The warehouse has been locked and has been suspended for business while the investigation is still ongoing.
