Trimmed portions of the Metro Manila Film Festival's (MMFF) Most Favorite Film 'Die Beautiful' were uploaded and shared online by its director, Jun Robles Lana.
Three deleted parts were posted by Lana on Twitter as reply to questions regarding the high school life and death of Trisha, played by Tokyo Film Festival and MMFF Best Actor Paolo Ballesteros.
The first video was a scene from Trisha's highschool days with her friends.
The scene was a two-minute clip with caption saying: "Binura. Hinanap. Binalik. Sa mga nagrerequest, 'eto na yung deleted scene ng buong barkada. Mature viewing only."
The next video was a scene from the veteran actor, Joel Torre, playing the role of Trisha's estranged father, claiming his daughter's coffin.Binura. Hinanap. Binalik. MMFF Best Supporting Actor Christian Bables, with the role of Barbs, Trisha's best friend, protected it and protested.
The clip was trimmed as per director's discretion.
The third video, though Lana described it as a funny one but the mood it conveys doesn't suit the film. This DELETED SCENE took a whole day to shoot. But during edit, it was not working for the story. Tough decision. #DieBeautiful pic.twitter.com/g4E5AF3PdV— Jun Robles Lana (@junrobleslana) January 10, 2017

Mood is off. Scene itself is redundant. But pretty funny though. #DieBeautiful pic.twitter.com/X1eJuH3D1b
