Bruno Mars will not be performing at the 65th Miss Universe pageant which will be held later this month in the Philippines.
This was confirmed by Tourism Undersecretary Kat de Castro in a radio interview on Sunday, January 15.
According to De Castro, the international Fil-am singer is busy preparing for his world tour, adding that if it's only for Mars, he would like to be part of the much-anticipated event.
The Miss Universe organization is yet to release names of personalities who will be performing at the coronation night on January 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
According to Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo in a previous interview, well-known international artists with Filipino roots will perform during the competition.
As of this posting, the Miss Universe organization is only confirming the name of American comedian Steve Harvey as the host of pageant. Rumors have it that Harvey is arriving in Manila on January 22, Sunday.
