A 17-year-old student of Cavite State University was chopped into 7 parts and was abandoned in an appliance box in Cavite by his obsessed ex-boyfriend.

The body of the 2nd-year Tourism student, identified as Mitzi Joy Balunsay, was found inside a rice sack and an electric fan box on a grassy part of Erinville Subdivision, Brgy. De Ocampo, Trece Martires.

The suspect, Alvin Delos Angeles, 20, a colleage of Balunsay in a theater guild and an ex boyfriend, was nabbed being the last seen company of the victim.

It was 8:00 am of January 6 when a foul-smelling box was discovered containing the decaying body.

The electric fan box used in the crime matches the brand of electric fan found in the suspect's boarding house.

Apologetic for what he had done, Angeles explained that his deed was out of being rejected and denied after their breakup.

Balunsay, a scholar of her university, was said to enroll last Thursday but her parents received text messages saying that enrollment wasn't finished yet and that she needed to stay in her classmate's place instead.

Based on the initial investigation, the obsessed ex-boyfriend has been trying arrange meet-ps with his ex. He allegedly framed her up to attend a pray over for his dead sibling knowing how religious the victim was.

He confessed that he is the one communicating with the victim's aunt that night via text messages.

He borrowed an apartment from a friend where he strangled and killed Balunsay before he raped the victim.
