Katy Perry has risen again with her new song "Rise." The track is now available to download on iTunes and to stream on Apple Music, and will be used as an anthem for the upcoming 2016 Rio Olympics.
"When, when the fire's at my feet again. And the vultures all start circling. They're whispering, 'You're out of time. But I'll still rise.'These are just a few of those strong inspiring words that is written within the new song. The singer-songwriter has revealed to E! News that this song has "been brewing inside me for years" and that she saved it for the next albums because "now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite."
The country has suffered enough with all the tragedies worldwide, the singer hopes that this song can inspire everyone to heal, unite and rise together.
NBC Olympics and Perry are also collaborating on an original "Rise" cinema spot that will be seen in more that 20,000 movie theaters.
