Mocha Uson Interviews Duterte, Duterte Mulls 24-Hour Hotline for Public Complaints

Incoming president Rodrigo Duterte, who will assume office next week, said he would set up a 24-hour hotline for public complaints.

In an interview posted by Mocha Uson posted on her Facebook page on Saturday, June 25, Duterte was asked to read a list of concerns provided by Uson.

“I will place around seven or ten persons to man 24 hours a day. Direkta sa akin mismo para ma-monitor ko,” Duterte said.

Uson, a known avid Duterte-supporter, said she was graced an interview opportunity at the MalacaƱang of the South in Davao. In the interview, she mentioned putting a survey on her Facebook blog page asking netizens of their top concerns and requests to the president-elect in his first 100 days.

Duterte said that his focus will be on crime and curruption, noting that he will be pushing for the reinstatement of death penalty. "I'm asking for it [death penalty reinstatement] because it is need by the times," Duterte said.

On traffic congestion in Metro Manila, Duterte told Uson, "I would need extraordinary powers to do it," referring to his previous statement of requesting Congress to grant him 'sweeping authority' or emergency powers to solve the traffic crisis.

Mentioned also in the interview was about GSIS benefits concern, that certain members are not getting their benefits after having waited for a long time.

Removal of the provincial rate is also included in the list. This is much needed, according to Uson, so people in provinces won't have to venture to Manila to apply for higher-paying jobs.

In addition, Duterte also assured that the laglag-bala issue in NAIA terminals has been resolved. "Wala na po yung laglag-bala ...kasi pag nangyare pa yan, yung mismong head, tanggal silang lahat," Duterte stated.

Uson said that the video she posted is just part one of the actual interview.
