Mexican professor dresses up as 'Spider-Man' to teach his lessons

Being a teacher is not limited to exuding proper decorum with a formal wear.

Ask Moises Vazquez, a 26-year-old computer science teacher who dons a unique wardrobe when bestowing knowledge upon his students.

When teaching, Vazquez wears the outfit of one and only amazing Spider-Man.

He explains that he was inspired by the character behind the mask, Peter Parker, who himself worked as a science lecturer after his time of being a freelance photographer.

"I do the same job as anyone else, I don't think it's the best class in the world just because I put on a suit. But I assure you I want to be the most honest and dedicated there is, I just want to make the classroom a better place," he said.

Vazquez teaches at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. When leaving to work, he goes out with his mother's blessing and uses public transportation as his main ride, attracting attention.

His family thought that wearing the Spider-Man outfit while teaching could damage his career but the opposite happened -- his gimmick has gone well with his students and co-teachers as he created a unique environment that is conducive to learning regardless of the circumstances.

"Obviously they reacted with surprise, but they were happy too," Vazquez added. "Everyone was smiling at me."
