Let's face the facts first. Chances are, Kevin Durant is going back to OKC after having a very promising performance of just a few minutes away of making the NBA Finals with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He's also known to be a guy who cares a lot about loyalty.
But there's something cooking between Durant and the Warriors.
Kevin Durant said he plans on making a "basketball decision" in free agency. However, Durant is also aware of and intrigued by home coming to the Warriors could impact his life after basketball. Durant will be sitting on at last a quarter billion in lifetime earning when he finishes his career. Now, it is Warrior's aim to help him multiply that sum in ways that other teams and ownership groups can't. It is not a promise or a financial commitment but it's a plus-factor the Warriors have relied on in the past.
