On this historical day when Rodrigo Duterte and Leni Rubredo took their oaths as top leaders of the Philippines, is the same day that Jessy Mendiola gets crowned as the 'Sexiest Woman in the Philippines for 2016,' based on FHM 100 Sexiest 2016 Poll.
Two weeks before the deadline of votes for the men's magazine's poll, it was Nadine Lustre who took the top spot, with Mendiola behind at third place.
It was only during the final week when the Maria Mercedes actress grabbed first place based on partial and unofficial results.
Earlier, FHM announced on Twitter that Jessy Mendiola is the "new sexiest woman in the land."

"New president, new vice president ...and a new sexiest woman in the land! Congratulations," reads FMM's tweet showing a picture of Jessy Mendiola, holding a bouquet of roses glorifying her win and a sexy image of her from FHM confirming her feat.
FHM hailed the 23-year-old actress for proving "that sexy is beyond physical," quoting one of Mediola's posts on her Instagram account.
"My body may not be perfect but that will not stop me from being confident with myself," she wrote. "We all come in different sizes and shapes but that shouldn't stop us from being happy with our own bodies."
"Whether you are curvy, malaman, skinny, too skinny, on the plus size, or even plus plus size, you have all the right to be confident with yourself because that is who and what you are," she added.
"It's not a question of 'why her,' but 'why only now,'" says managing editor BA Borleo. "This result just proves something we've known for quite some time now here in FHM: We all can’t get enough of Jessy Mendiola."
"We've all spent time checking up on her—the ads, the TV shows, the movies, her posts on social media. This woman is everywhere, her followers number in millions, and now they’ve managed to put their idol on top of the FHM 100 Sexiest List," Borleo added.
Born in Dubai, Mendiola was part of the ABS-CBN's Star Magic Batch 15. Known for her titular role in Maria Mercedes in 2013-2014, Jessy Mendiola was also part of Star Cinema films The Reunion (2012), Call Center Girl (2013) and The Trial (2014) and StarFlix's Must Date The Playboy (2015).
