Chris Evans on the controversial Captain America “Hydra” Twist

Fans were disturbed when the new Captain America: Steve Rogers Book#1 put on an unlikely plot, revealing the first avenger to be a Hydra all along. It shook the whole fandom so much, even Captain America: Civil War actor Chris Evans responds in a shock.

The internet is on fire as the fans feel outraged and disappointed by this shocking revelation, even the actor closest to this character Christ Evans could not believe it. Evans has been playing the role of Captain America for five years and somehow gained more supporters from his character after the Captain America: Civil War, wherein the whole team have to break into two teams – Team Captain America versus Team Iron Man.

Now, who wants to stay in Team Cap?

The actor posted his reaction on Twitter, saying, “Hydra?!?!? #sayitaintso.”

It was then followed by the actor’s fans coming up with other Twitter trends such as #NotMyCap and #SayNoToHydra.

Everyone who has been following Captain America or just aware of this character knows the relationship between the Cap and Hydra. And with this new plot twist, it seems like everything that they have fought for just falls apart. No justice at all. That is why revealing Steve Rogers as a Hydra spy without a doubt hit the fandom hard.

However, Marvel comic book creator Stan Lee appears to have a fairly positive outlook on the newly launched series. He even thought of it as a very clever idea, and stated that it’s going to make the fans “curious” and probably “do a movie based on it”, as said to Entertainment Weekly while attending a panel at MegaCon.

With this kind of twist, turning the story upside down, the fans are definitely curious, alright. As a matter of fact, it took one hell of an attention.

There is only one book released in the series so far and fans can still stay hopeful and maybe speculate more on how the great Cap ended up with such tragic plot. Who knows? Maybe it’s just Captain America from some other world or dimension. Just maybe. Whatever your theories are, the following book series of Captain America: Steve Rogers is good enough to look forward to, feeding your burning curiosities.
