'Bad Ass' 82-Year-Old Man Sings Metal Song

"Let the bodies hit the floor! Let the bodies hit the floor! Let the bodies hit the floooooor!!!!!"

This is what old Hetlinger looks like while introducing himself. Quite calm, isn't he?

"America's Got Talent" crowd was shocked when an 82-year-old man starts singing Drowning Pool's "Bodies."

John Hetlinger introduced himself to the judges as a retired aerospace engineer 15 years ago and been taking up karaoke. Everyone anticipated him to sing such songs like Sinatra's or Elvis' but he took on a way too hardcore genre. He totally blew them away!

The song "Bodies" is the lead single from the heavy metal band Drowning Pool's debut album, "Sinner", which was released in 2001. More than 80% of the metal community knows this song by heart.

Just in case you are wondering and not familiar with the band, this is what Drowning Pool looks like.
Drowning Pool gave Hetlinger a shoutout on their Facebook page posting the video with a caption, "Bad Ass." The band even offered the senior citizen the opportunity to sing with the band at the upcoming Open Air Festival in July for an encore performance of "Bodies."

"Shout out to the 82 year old dude that sang 'Bodies' on America's Got Talent. You are welcome to join us on stage anytime!!!" the band wrote.

Even though majority of the audience in the show thinks it's awesome and jumped their feet to rock out during the performance, some people in the crowd still covered their ears. Besides, not everyone is open to the metal genre. Most people just think of it as a noise.

Nonetheless, praise to you old Hetlinger! On behalf of my fellow metalheads, we couldn't be more proud of you!
