Stephen Curry leads the way as Warriors stave off elimination

Back-to-back league MVP Stephen Curry filled the stat sheet with 31 points, 7, rebounds, 6 assists to go with 5 steals and Klay Thompson added 27 markers as the Golden State Warriors nip Oklahoma City Thunder, 120-111 at the Oracle Arena to stay alive in the Western Conference Finals.

With the win, the Warriors narrowed the series gap 2-3.

The series shifts back to the Chesapeake Energy Arena, where the Thunder are undefeated in the series in hopes of closing out the Warriors for good.

The first three quarters were a dogfight, with the Dubs leading albeit by a slim margin. Thunder even took the lead off of a Westbrook three-pointer at the 6:07 mark in the third period.

But Steph Curry and Draymond Green worked together to wrest the momentum back as they settled for a two-possession lead 81-77 entering the fourth period.

The final quarter proved to be the deciding factor for the Warriors, as they opened up with eight unanswered points courtesy of Harrison Barnes, Andre Iguodala, and Shaun Livingston as the lead ballooned up to twelve. The Warriors never looked back from thereon.

Thunder managed to close in on the lead following key baskets from Kevin Durant, who had a game-high 40 points on 12 for 31 shooting and Russell Westbrook who finished with 31 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 dimes. But Steph Curry went on to work as he made key steals and baskets down the stretch that sealed the deal for Warriors.
