After being caught raping a teenage girl, a mob of angry people castrates the man's genitals.
Local residents of Sri Ganganagar, a city in the north western Indian state of Rajasthan were alarmed upon hearing the screaming of the victim, crying for help.
Upon arriving where the scream is coming from, Suresh Kumar, 40, was caught in the act while pinning the poor girl on a wall.
The mob take Kumar into a butcher shop, beat him for an hour and cut off his genital with a meat cleaver.
His genitals were just left in the middle of the road while he was taken to a hospital and in critical condition.
On the other hand, the victim undergoes counseling.
"We have had a lot of intolerable offenses against women in this country recently, with girls being raped, hung, and molested, and it's time it stopped. This sends out a very strong message to anyone like that -- if you do it you will be punished," witness Aamir Dhawan, 30, said.
However, local police vows to held everyone responsible for bringing justice in their hands.
"As deplorable as these crimes are, law and order has to be maintained, and not lynch justice," a police spokesperson said. "We ask those men who carried out this attack to hand themselves in before we find them."
Apparently, castration is the official punishment for rape under the Malaysian state of Sarawak.
