After Estrada's Bail, Napoles Also Hopes For Freedom Soon!

Janet Lim Napoles expresses hope that she will follow the footsteps of former Senator Jinggoy Estrada, who was freed last Saturday after more than three years in custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame.

Napoles was hopeful that she will also be released from being detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology facility in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.

“This is very good for us. We shall go over the actual terms of the resolution, then we will file our own,” Lawyer Dennis Buenaventura said.

Estrada was allowed to post bail after a majority resolution was released last Friday by the Sandiganbayan Special 5th Division.

“Mas maganda lang dahil mas luminaw sa GMA case, 'yun ang parang magiging ano, guide. Pero ang factual arguments, ganun pa rin sa dati,” Buenaventura added.

Napoles faces charges of plunder cases before the Sandiganbayan's 1st and 3rd Division, connected prior to the cases of former Sen. Bong Revilla and former Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile, respectively.

The camp of former Senator Bong Revilla also said they will be filing a similar motion for his release.
