Photos of what residents claim to be an apparition of the Virgin Mary made rounds on social media recently.
Since January of this year, at least 7 oarfishes have been spotted in different locations. It has been believed in many part of the world, specifically in Japan, that surfacing of these deep-sea creatures suggests that they detect underwater plates movement.

Sometime two weeks ago, another deep-sea creature, the sunfish, was also spotted in Misamis Oriental.

Meanwhile, PHIVOLCS warns of a possible earthquake more destructive than the one that hit Surigao, due to fault movement. This was coined as "The Big One,"

With these recent events, one may easily conclude that this 'apparition' serves as a warning for people to go back to their faith and start praying again.
Netizens were quick to pitch in their opinions with these 'Virgin Mary' formation on the wall.
A netizen said: "Dahil malayo na ang mga tao sa [ating] mahal na diyos kaya nagpakita ang imahin ni Mama Mary upong tayong lahat ay magbalik loob [sa] kanya dahil mas marami ang gumawa ng masama sa mabuti."
However, some netizens simply dismissed this claim of apparition as merely a coincidence.
One netizen said: "Ang sabi ng Kristo sa Mateo 24 'magingat kayung huwag mailigaw nino man"... sapagkat sa mga ganyang bagay ay instromento yan ng diablo para maligaw ang tao sa tunay na ebanghelyo ng Dios...'"
Another netizen commented: "Yan ang mga sumasamba sa mga ganyan ay anti Christ hindi si Cristo ang kanilang sinasamba. Catholic ako pero hindi ako naniniwala sa mga hugis hugis at mga rebulto."
Yet another Facebook user said: "Daming nauuto, nabasa lang yung plywood at naghugis ganun, si Maria na agad, tinirikan pa talaga ng kandila, ayan tayo eh, madaling maloko visually, ayan ang bible nakalantad bakit di nyo basahin? Libre magbasa nyan at mag-aral nyan..."
Some residents even put a candle in front of the said apparition. Whether people have been praying upon it, is yet to be confirmed.
