LOOK: Microsoft Co-founder Discovers Something Huge at the Bottom of the Sea in the Heart of the Philippines

Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen claims that he has found the biggest warship used during World War II by Imperial Japanese Navy at the bottom of the Central Visayan waters in the Philippines.

Bearing the Japanese empire's chrysanthemum seal, Battle Warship Musashi was discovered after 70 years by the billionaire ranked as 51st richest person in the world by Forbes.

US Navy's website described the warship as a "mighty battleship" with "mammoth 18-inch guns".

Through his luxury yacht and exploration ship M/Y Octopus, Musashi was located 1 km deep at Sibuyan Sea.

It was in October 24, 1944 when the warship sank by attacks from American warplanes at the height of the historical battle at Leyte Gulf.

The said battle was considered to be the largest naval encounter during World War II where Japanese force were defeated by the fused force of America and Australia.
