WATCH: Magic Trick Goes Horribly Wrong When Magician Accidentally Stabs Woman's Hand on Live TV

In 2013, American illusionist David Blaine performed an act that amazed celebrities like Will Smith, Kanye west and Aaron Paul. In a suspenseful game of Spike, Blaine smashed his hand against several brown paper bags and Styrofoam cups one at a time, one of which had a sharp ice pick under it. He could impale himself but of course, he didn't. The celebrities were impressed when he deliberately pierced his hand with the ice pick and it didn't even hurt him a bit.

A similar act was attempted on Saturday, July 2, when a Poland's Got Talent semi-finalist appeared as a guest in a morning show "Question for Breakfast." However, his stunt got terribly wrong -- he ended up impaling the host's hand on live TV.

In the video below, magician Marcin Poloniewicz showed host Marzena Rogalska a sharp nail standing on a small wooden platform, which he concealed in one of the four brown paper bags. He turned around, shuffled the bags and put them back on the table.

He randomly picked one brown bag and smashed it with his hand revealing the bag was empty.

Then he took the host's hand, held her wrist, slammed it against another random brown paper bag.

The next thing everyone heard was the host's sharp shrill as she pulled back her hand and turned her back to the audience.

Poloniewicz was quick to respond by pulling the nail out of Rogalska's hand while the host writhed in pain.

According to reports, the trick was performed correctly prior to the taping but Poloniewicz apparently got confused with the routine during the actual performance.

The host was rushed to the nearest hospital where she was provided with antibiotics and a tetanus shot.
