WATCH: Justin Bieber Caught Catching Pokémon in NYC

In the light of catching Pokémons as part of the game play of the highly addictive and life-engaging Pokémon Go, other "trainers" caught possibly the rarest catch of them all: Justin Bieber catching Pokémons.

The pop star was in New York City for this Purpose tour with back-to-back shows at Madison Square Garden and apparently even he could not go a couple of days without playing the game.

During his break on his tour on Tuesday, he was spotted roaming along Central Park in search for Pokémons. Bieber had it known that he's not comfortable taking pictures with fans, so people tweeted and took videos of him instead.

Fans went into overdrive on Twitter as they caught their idol clutching his phone and searching to fill his Pokédex.

The 22-year-old singer, together with a huge crowd, has spotted Gyrados. Most of the virtual creature hunters had barely noticed the baseball cap-wearing pop icon in their midst.

Bieber, who was sporting peroxide blonde locks in ripped jeans and a checkered shirt overcoating his gray T-shirt, was with pals John Shahidi and Alfredo Flores.

Flores shared his his excitement at the chase with a video uploaded on his Instagram account with a caption: "When #Gyrados decides to pop up across the street from Central Park and all hell breaks loose! #GottaCatchEmAll @justinbieber  @johnny #sundayfunday #pokemon."
