A college student started a campaign after spotting an earring that looked a lot like a pair Ivanka Trump wore during the Republican National Convention.
Annabelle Hopkins, a student in College of Wooster, was attending the convention when she found a lone drop earring on the Quicken Loans Arena floor.
The 19-year-old used Twitter to immediately launch a campaign, using the hashtag, "#GetIvankaherEarringBack" and tagging the 34-year-old in her note, to return the earring to its rightful owner.#GetIvankaherEarringBack Ivanka how can I return this to you? @IvankaTrump @TODAYshow @SavannahGuthrie pic.twitter.com/gKzF5IMVQ0— Annabelle Marie (@nogentlewoman) July 21, 2016
She even looped in some of the other Trump siblings, pleading, "Please RT! Help Ivanka get her earrings back!"
Hopkins' effort immediately paid off after catching the attention of one of Trump's assistant. According to ABC News, a meet-up was arranged at the family's hotel in Cleveland after Ivanka's Thursday speech.
