The son of Osama bin Laden has threatened revenge against the US for assassinating his father in 2011, according to an audio recording posted online by Al-Qaeda.
Hamza bin Laden, now in his mid-twenties, apparently told Americans that they were responsible for the decisions of their leaders leading to his father's demise.
The audio released by the terror network's media arm was heard in a video by As-Sahab on Saturday, July 9.
In his 21-minute speech entitled "We are All Osama," Hamza bin Laden said Al Qaeda would continue waging jihad or holy war against the U.S. in response to its oppression of Muslims.
"If you think that your sinful crime that you committed in Abbottabad has passed without punishment, then you thought wrong," he says.
"We will continue striking you and targeting you in your country and abroad in response to your oppression of the people of Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia and the rest of the Muslim lands that did not survive your oppression," Hamza continued.
Osama bin Laden was killed in May 2011 in a raid at his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
His son's whereabouts is unknown and analysts speculate that he may be taking over leadership of Al Qaeda.
